Birthday Parties have proved to be a very popular and successful venture since we started offering them in 2008. The parties last for 2 hours and include a range of wildlife activities and a party tea. Parties can be arranged for after school on weekdays or on weekends.

Activities

Activities take place on the Nature Reserve and can be chosen from a wide range depending on the age and interests of your child. They include treasure hunts, den building, mud modelling, woodland sculptures, pond dipping, wild crafts (leaf crowns, dream catchers), blindfold games and parachute games. Activities are led by a qualified teacher and forest schools leader who is supported by an experienced assistant.

Food

Our caterer supplies a fantastic party tea, including sandwiches, sausages, raw vegetables (carrots, cucumber, tomatoes), fruit (apples, grapes), cheese, crisps, cakes and biscuits. She likes to emphasise the wildlife theme with frog cakes, grape caterpillars and worm biscuits! Alternatively hot food can be provided (burger/hotdog/pizza and chips) with salad vegetables and cakes.

Price

Parties are charged at £7.50 per child with a minimum of 12 children booked. For parties over 15 children, any additional children (from the 16th up) will be charged at only £6.00 per child.

We do not supply party bags, however as children arrive they have the opportunity to make something to take home.

Duration

A party lasts for 2 hours and includes a range of fun outdoor activities such as treasure hunts, den building, pond dipping and crafts. This is followed by a Birthday Tea which can be either traditional party food or hot dogs/burgers and fries. Both options include fresh fruit and salad vegetables. All you need to do is bring the birthday cake and the children - we will look after everything else.
